It's a Nightmare

Hi all,

Apologies for the late comic - I eventually managed to coax Anne out from under the bedclothes with promises of cookies, and maybe a new pair of boots. As you can see, she is co-operating once more, and not a moment too soon. Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas* is one of my all-time favourite movies, and I had to include it in a Halloween strip.

So I've got some exciting news about an upcoming StCA interview with the lovely Ms Chloé Kovac - set up by talented comic artist Jimmy Misanthrope!

Jimmy Misanthrope is a writer/artist/illustrator/comic maker from Australasia, probably most well known for his webcomic Agents of the Endtimes, which is at this point an evolving work in progress, and also his current life passion. Aside from AOTE he also writes and draws a bunch of other comics, in addition to illustration and design work for various companies, bands, private individuals and fellow comic makers. You may have seen his art about the place, usually on the most random of things.

He also writes reviews on things of an "alterno pop culture" nature "in character" as one of his AOTE characters Chloé Kovac at her blog http://chloekovac.blogspot.com

Anything else you might want to know about Jimmy and his work can quite possibly be gleaned from his website http://www.thevortexmachines.com

Chloé will be posting an interview with StCA on the 31st October, and I'm really looking forward to it!

And of course, the 5-day StCA Halloween Special will be running from Monday to Friday next week, with daily updates. I hope you all enjoy it.

Also, I know there is a new Horrorscope overdue, and will have it up on Monday as well.

Dude, I love the 1st panel. I always love it for some strange reason when car'oons include real-lifey stuff from the talking noisey box. It also made me desire pop-corn... Danke.

I really like it too. I'm keen to use effects like this more in future, so watch this space :)
